Welcome Home

JOURNAL 001

If someone asked me what "home" means, I don't think I'd talk about paint colours, furniture or perfectly styled shelves.

I'd simply say...

My family.

Because, to me, they've always been at the heart of it all.

Like many people, I've spent time looking around my home and seeing all the things I wanted to change. The unfinished jobs. The corners that weren't quite right. The projects I'd get around to "one day."

But I've realised something over the years.

The moments I remember most have very little to do with those things.

They're the evenings when I sink into the corner of our cosy lounge, surrounded by plants, and feel the strain of the day quietly float away.

They're the mornings when I take a cup of tea into the garden and simply sit.

Sometimes it's a glass of wine as the evening draws in, listening to the birds and watching the light change.

Nothing extraordinary is happening.

Yet those are the moments that stay with me.

They remind me that home isn't about perfection.

It's about how a place makes you feel.

That's why I created Gather & Bloom.

Not to tell you your home needs more.

But to help you notice what might already be there.

I hope that when you spend time here, you feel exactly how I want people to feel when they walk through my front door...

Welcomed.

Warm.

Invited to stay a while.

So, make yourself a cup of tea— or perhaps pour a glass of wine if it's been one of those days.

Take a look around.

And welcome to Gather & Bloom.
